Before you yell at me and say “Clarence Caldwell – what do you mean Failed Life?” First of all, I know that I am in trouble when someone yells out my first and last name. So, before you do – hear me out.
Of course no one wants to live a Failed Life. You may also argue that a life isn’t failed until it is over with no hope or time left to turn things around. You may also argue that failure is in the eye of the beholder and that Clarence, True Life Academy, nor any other so called expert can call another person’s life – failed.
Well you would be right on all accounts. The reason this blog post is titled this way is to take a stab at shining a little light on the life you are living. Whether you agree with the terminology (Failed Life) or not, I will stand my ground in a discussion about whether you can give yourself a leg up on living a fulfilled life vs one that could be seen as failed or for argument’s sake let’s just say – less than satisfying.
If the title throws you off – I wish I could apologize, but I won’t. You see If I titled it The Ten Commandments For A Fulfilled Life, then I am not so sure many people would stop to read this. The good news is that there are thousands of articles and writings describing the best way to live our lives. The bad news is that there are thousands of articles and writings describing the best way to live our lives. You see, with so much of the same thing coming at you time and time again, even if its good stuff – you may find the tendency to become a little numb to it. Not purposely but that is a part of human nature.
My intention and hope is that your desire to avoid the outcome of a Failed Life is what drew you to this writing. If that is true then I am happy to say that you will carry from this, a set of signs and symptoms to look out for in your quest for a happier, more fulfilled life.
I won’t go into each one here because it would take too long. It would also just be a copy and paste job for me. Simply because I have already written the Commandments out with a full explanation of each. You can find the full writing here in this link.
What I will give you is the list of all ten. I am also including a link for you to download the book and read what each commandment is about. You will see how following these principles can lead to an unwanted life. My hope is that you are not following these – at least not on a regular basis. We all may trip up from time to time and find ourselves holding on to some of these. However, I think that having this list and understanding how these commandments play out in your life will give you a leg up turning things around before they lead you too far down the path to a less satisfying life.
So here they are in short: CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL VERSION
Commandment #1 – Believe not in yourself
Commandment #2 – Consider yourself unworthy of prosperity and happiness
Commandment #3 – Seek to avoid failure, embarrassment and rejection
Commandment #4 – Embrace what others say is true about you
Commandment #5 – Always hold back from new big opportunities
Commandment #6 – Be comfortable where you are
Commandment #7 – Do everything on your own
Commandment #8 – Never forgive others that have done wrong
Commandment #9 – Be thankful only for the good things in life
Commandment #10 – Seek not your connection with spirit
As simple as these sound – you’ll find it hard not to fall into these traps from time to time. That’s to be expected. After all we are human and we have been taught many of these things over the course of our lives either directly by authority figures in our lives or by personal experience that has ingrained certain beliefs and behaviors we hold dear today.
Having accepted this assignment as being a human becoming on this planet, not only do you have the right to be your best you, but you have an obligation as well.
Your family, your friends and even people you do not know are better off when you are being all you were meant to be.
Think of it…. Your life is the most important thing you have, and you get to take full control over how it will be lived.
If you hand over that responsibility to others then your journey will be filled with more despair, fear and hopelessness than you deserve. Taking responsibility for your life is the first step.
My sincere desire for you is that you let these Ten Commandments serve as a quick reminder of your strengths, powers and gifts.
